For more than five years, a total of nearly 80 turtles have been effectively rescued and treated. Teachers and students to the sea turtle protection volunteer project gave a nice name, called ‘Turtles’ Way to Home'. In 2014, during his master's degree at Hainan Normal University, Ye Zhengting proposed to his mentor Shi Haitao the idea of building a rescue station for sea turtles on campus, and the “Turtle Hospital” was born. Nowadays, in addition to rescuing and treating sea turtles, the ‘Turtles’ Way to Home’ turtle protection volunteer service project also carries out sea turtle protection science publicity activities, calling on more people and departments to participate in the protection of sea turtles. Ye Zhengting hopes that one day he will be able to see tens of thousands of sea turtles waddling back to the sea from the beach as he did in his childhood.
