Profession and Job Description

Mainly engaged in the research of pest control and protection of endangered species. Presided over one research initiation fund for professors (PhD) of Hainan Normal University. Published 5 academic papers as the first author and other authors in Hormones and Behavior, Microbiological Research, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Frontier in Zoology and Journal of Veterinary Science.

Research Direction:

Harmful organisms prevention and control and endangered species protection research: rodent invasion seriously endangers local agricultural production and infrastructure construction, and poses a serious hazard to the survival and reproduction of island rare birds, sea turtles and other organisms; at the same time, the high density of the island rodent population has the risk of triggering the spread of epidemics such as bubonic plague, haemorrhagic fever and so on, which affects the island's biosecurity. Sterility control is expected to control the rodent population on the island, thus protecting the island's rare birds, sea turtles and other organisms. The study focused on rodent and other pest populations, and investigated the complex ecological relationship between animal-microbe interactions, and then proposed a mechanism for rodent population control and countermeasures, which provided a basis for pest control and endangered species protection research.
